HOW TO SHORTCUT YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS

Success is not an overnight event, but a process that involves hard work and perseverance, yet, a shortcut to success actually exists.

So, if you are wondering:

"Will there ever be a way to reach my goal ASAP”?

Rest assured, the answer is yes!

In this post, you’ll find out the way to collapse the time you need to achieve your ultimate goal.

It doesn’t matter whether you are aiming to achieve financial freedom, gain muscles, find your soulmate, or whatsoever.

What matters is that if you apply what you’ll read, you will be many steps closer to your goal.

GOING ON A TRIP…

Green van driving on the Highway during a bright blue day. Van in motion.

If you were about to go on a trip to a place where you have never been before, what would you do?

I guess you would ask either someone who has already been there or Google how to get to your destination, right?

Perhaps, you would also read a guidebook.

You would like to know the best way, the safest path, the quickest route to get there.

Besides, you’d like to find out what you need to bring with you, what fun things you should look for and what dangers you’d better avoid.

By either talking to someone who has already been to where you want to go or by reading about the itinerary, you have a better chance not to get lost.

As a result, you’ll get to your destination ASAP without wasting time and energy.

What’s more, your trip would be much more enjoyable.

The same concept applies to every area of your life!

Listening to those who are farther along in the journey you are on, and learning from their successes and failures is the shortcut to your success.

SUCCESS LEAVES CLUES

“Success leaves clues. Go figure out what someone who was successful did, and model it. Improve it, but learn their steps. They have knowledge”. - Tony Robbins

The things you want to achieve, no matter how seemingly unique, have been accomplished before.

Whatever challenge you are facing, you are not the first one.

There are millions of people who have gone through the same struggles and who have figured them out.

Take advantage of what they have learned, of their priceless lessons, and, why not, expand upon your predecessor's work.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel!

Why should you rack your brain to come up with an ingenious idea, when you can apply the lessons of successful people to your situation and move faster?

Bottom Line: The key to succeeding faster is modeling those who are successful in the specific area of life that you also want to be successful in.

In other words, figure out what they do to excel and take the same steps.

In doing so, you can save yourself months, years, or even decades of trial and error learning.

Your time is limited, don't waste it!

A guide or mentor is what separates those who struggle their way to success from those who succeed easier and faster.

“Study anyone who’s great, and you’ll find they apprenticed to a master or several masters. Therefore, if you want to achieve greatness, success, you must apprentice to a master”. - Robert Allen

WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE CLUES LEADING TO SUCCESS

Child looking through a spyglass.

Meeting with, and learning from someone who has already achieved what you are after is the most effective way to find the clues leading to success.

Yet, there are other options available for you.

The easiest way to get hold of these valuable clues is to read books - even better - biographies.

In them, you can find the secrets those people have applied to achieve the same goal you are shooting for.

Another opportunity within everyone’s reach is to attend courses, workshops, and seminars.

In today’s digital world you can find the ones that most suit your needs at a click of a button.

Whether you want to improve your wealth, health, relationships, or spirituality there is a course, a workshop, or a seminar that’s right for you.

Another option is to listen to podcasts or watch videos that illustrate how to move from where you currently are to where you want to be.

You can also find many useful written resources on the net, and this blog I guess is a great example :).

Bottom Line: whether you find a mentor, read books, listen to podcasts, or whatever else works best for you, learn, get the knowledge, and put it in place.

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW CAN HURT YOU

“That stupid saying “What you don’t know can’t hurt you” is ridiculous. What you don’t know can kill you. If you don’t know that tractor-trailer trucks hurt when hitting you, then you can play in the middle of the interstate with no fear – but that doesn’t mean you won’t get killed”. - Dave Ramsey

The book you don’t read can cost you a fortune.

“It isn't what the book costs. It's what it will cost you if you don't read it”. - Jim Rohn

The seminar you don’t attend can result in missing out on widening your network of like-minded people.

So does the workshop you don’t watch, it can cost you failing to start your own business.

The podcast you don’t listen to can result in missing an insight that can turn your life around.

Is my point clear?

Don’t fool yourself. What you don’t know CAN actually hurt you!

Nothing will make success faster than following in someone else’s footsteps.

In other words, make the most of the knowledge you can get from people who have achieved what you are aiming to and you will succeed faster.

“If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results”. - Tony Robbins

TWO BIGGEST MISTAKES YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MAKE WHEN YOU TRY TO SHORTCUT YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS

1) ASKING FOR ADVICE FROM THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN THE AREA OF YOUR INTEREST

Friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues are the people we generally tend to consult.

But, let me ask you:

Have they achieved what you want out of your life?

Has your spouse started and built a business before? Have your parents been great life teachers? Have your colleagues or friends made a lot of money?

If so, they are the guides that can provide you with the knowledge that can speed up your journey towards your goal.

If not, why do you keep seeking their advice?

Even if those people love you, it doesn’t mean their advice works.

It can be counterproductive actually and sidetrack you from achieving your goal.

Bottom Line: be cautious about who you seek advice from!

2) ASSOCIATING WITH THE "WRONG" PEOPLE

I bet you have already heard the famous phrase from great mentor Jim Rohn:

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

When you associate with people who settle down, who rest on their laurels you are more likely to follow them.

On the contrary, when you surround yourself with people who strive for personal development your thinking shifts.

You start thinking and behaving like them.

You want to strive for excellence too. You want to become better and better.

Thus, you take massive action which is the bridge between your dreams and reality.

“The path to success is to take massive, determined action”. - Tony Robbins

Something else you’d better take into consideration any time you hang out with or speak to people is that they can be either black holes or batteries!

They can either drain your energy or boost you up.

Who do you most interact with?

Do you have more people in your life that inspire and motivate you or more that bring you down?

How often do you hang up with, or speak to them?

You see, your goal should be to let go of the soul-sucking people, the black holes, and welcome the up-lifting ones, the batteries, instead.

That’s why I believe in the power of community. I am part of one!

I decided to surround myself with other like-minded people.

People who are hungry for personal development and who are on a mission.

They aim to create and live their best life, a life with more FREEDOM and FLEXIBILITY.

They are doing it by building online businesses they love.

The transformation that I’ve gone through since I joined it has been like nothing else I have ever experienced.

I found people who are farther along the journey I am on and can show me the clues of their success.

Being part of a community of successful, like-minded people who care about each other’s success cannot be described.

You need to try it to understand it.

We are each other's batteries, we motivate and inspire one another to do more, be more, and get more out of our lives.

What about you?

Are you part of a community of people who have your back, who believe in your potential and help you reach it?

If not, I am more than happy to give you the same opportunity that was given to me.

Introducing you to the same community that has been a game-changer in my life is a pleasure for me.

But, if this doesn’t appeal to you, that’s fine.

Simply make me one promise, do your best to spend as little time as possible with soul-sucking people, the black holes.

Look for people who lift you up, the batteries, instead!

Remember: you are a product of your environment, thus, surround yourself with the best if you want to become one of them!

“The better you are at surrounding yourself with people of high potential, the greater your chance for success”. - John C. Maxwell
