Successful people know that the key to success is facing and winning one challenge after another. Successful people don’t give up, they live up to the challenges that life presents them with on their way to success.
Successful people don’t just go through the process, they grow through it. Successful people embrace the hassle they face because they know it’s the only way through which they can achieve success.
It’s that simple if you want to succeed, embrace the challenges, learn from them, and move forward.
It’s not WHAT you do, but HOW you do it that makes you different, and outstanding.
It’s not about overcoming the first challenge and then settling down, it’s about going the extra mile, it’s about becoming unstoppable.
How can you become unstoppable?
Only by developing your resilience can you do it and achieve success.
Only by forcing yourself beyond your comfort zone can you grow.
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”. - Martin Luther King, Jr.
You begin by running just one mile, but - if you force yourself - you can eventually run 2 miles.
And if you keep pushing, then you will be able to run a marathon.
It all boils down to how bad you want it.
If you really want to achieve something you must be ready to overcome challenges.
One challenge after another and you end up being successful without even realizing it.
Then you look back and everything makes sense.
Challenges have a purpose, they come to you to make you better, not bitter!
They carry the wisdom and it is up to you either to accept it or not.
Challenges can destroy you or build a new you.
Don’t flee from challenges, tackle and conquer them!
How boring would life be without struggles?
Most people I know would prefer a dull easy life, a life without any difficulties.
They want to get great results with no effort, they want to start a business without investing in themselves, and they want to make an awful lot of money without working their asses off.
But let me tell you, all those people are just living a mediocre existence, they are just sleepwalking through life.
Look at challenges as big opportunities, because they are nothing more than that, they are the holy grail for your success.
The most important lesson you can learn comes from struggles, from situations that made you draw upon all your resources.
And it is thanks to the challenges you overcome that you realize how worthy and strong you are.
You reach your goals when you don’t take shortcuts but when you go all in.
“To the stars through difficulties”. - Seneca the younger
THE BUTTERFLY STORY
Once upon a time, a young boy was walking through the fields when he spotted a butterfly cocoon.
The cocoon was completely closed except for a small hole.
The curious young boy took a peek through the small hole and could see the little butterfly striving to break the cocoon.
The guy looked at the endeavor of the butterfly for a long time, but no matter how hard it tried to break the cocoon, all the attempts seemed vain.
It couldn’t force itself through the tiny hole.
It looked stuck.
The boy, saddened by this view, decided to help the butterfly.
He enlarged the small hole with his knife so as to create a space large enough for the butterfly to get out.
Something interesting happened.
The butterfly didn’t develop enough muscles to spread its wings and soar into the air.
As a matter of fact, the butterfly’s wings were too weak to sustain its heavy body.
And so the small creature was doomed to spend all its life crawling on the ground, unable to do what it was born for, FLYING.
The young boy didn’t realize that the butterfly needed to struggle to develop its muscles and become able to fly.
The boy learned an important lesson, challenges are GOOD and necessary to FLY!
WHAT DOES THIS STORY TEACH US?
Challenges are a prerequisite for developing our strengths.
If we don’t tackle struggles, we prevent ourselves from growing and getting stronger.
Even if the support of others is really important for our personal development, we should never rely only on someone else’s help and try to cut off struggles and ease our life.
This is a common mistake that parents often make thinking that they are doing what is best for their kids.
Nothing more wrong than that!
It’s really hard for parents to see their kids go through struggles and so they are very likely to end up solving their child's problems.
Trying to ease their children's life they don’t realize that they are behaving exactly like the young boy with the butterfly cocoon.
This way children grow weak and don’t learn to tackle the challenges that will come their way.
And like the butterfly, they will not thrive in life because they get used to having someone else solve their problems.
There is no room for success in an easy existence.
Our personal development is like the butterfly's evolution.
The butterfly in fact goes through 4 stages of development during one life cycle, the egg, the caterpillar, the cocoon, and finally the butterfly.
At each stage, it goes through challenges.
It takes time and sacrifice to achieve long-lasting results.
If we want to accomplish great things in life, we must be ready to work our asses off and face challenges.
There is no easy way to success!
Don't limit your challenges, challenge your limits.
