Today I want to start by asking you a thought-provoking question: what would you do if $ 86,400 was credited into your bank account every day?

If you have no clue, watch the one-minute video below, you may find the answer.

It wakes you up so that you can start living life to the fullest and make your dreams come true.

It packs a punch, doesn’t it?

In a world driven by money, we sometimes forget that we are blessed every day with a nonrenewable resource - TIME.

In this short video, Elvis de Leon gives us a perspective that changes the way we look at today.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present”. - Bil Keane

Why not make the most out of the present moment - of every second that life gifts us with?

In Elvis’s words:

“Why waste time? It doesn’t carry over to the next day.

It doesn’t earn interest!

Take every day and every moment, and make something happen. Make something positive.”

“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend”. - Theophrastus

Let me stress what is mentioned above through the following metaphor about time.

Imagine if you woke up every morning and the bank credited $ 86,400  in your bank account; wouldn’t it be wonderful?

Here’s the catch, all the $86,400 disappears at midnight every night, whether you decide to use it or not.

In other words, the $86,400 you receive in the morning is gone at the end of the day.

You cannot use any of it in advance, and you cannot pile it up either.

So, what would you do?

You would withdraw every dollar each day and spend every last penny of it, wouldn’t you?

The thing is that we all have a bank account like this, but it’s not money, it’s time!

We are gifted with $ 86,400 every day and every night our deposit is gone whether we use it wisely or whether we waste it.

So why, when it comes to money, would we make the most of every single penny, while when it comes to time we're OK with wasting it?

We can always make more money!

Yet, we cannot create more time.

That’s why we must be responsible for how we spend it, without wasting any second.

If you fail to use the day’s deposit, the loss is yours.

There is no going back.

You must live in the present, on today’s deposit.

Invest it so that you can get the most in terms of health, relationships, happiness, wealth, and success from it!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.

Are you not convinced about how valuable your time is yet?

Let’s look at it from different points of view:

  • To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.
  • To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
  • To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
  • To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
  • To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.
  • To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
  • To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won the gold medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every second that you have, because time waits for no one!

Treasure the time you spend with your friends.

Treasure the time you spend with your family.

Treasure the time you spend for yourself.

In a nutshell, make the most of every second of the beautiful gift called life.

So, what are you going to do with the time that is given to you each day?

Are you going to waste it, or use it to build your dream life - in other words - achieve your goals and live life on your own terms?

Remember: success is the result of tiny and “boring” actions taken continuously over a long period of time.

How do you build tons of muscles?

How do you shift from being obese to being slender?

Workout after workout, a healthy meal after another, day after day.

And the same holds for failure. It’s not a big massive event that happens overnight.

It is the result of inactions or poor decisions made over a long period of time.

You don’t get obese if you eat junk food and you lie on the sofa all day long only once.

You become obese when you lead this kind of life constantly.

What about your finances, your relationships, your spirituality, etc?

There’s no quick magic formula to achieve success in any of the above fields!

The only formula I know is hard work and being committed to your goal till you get what you want to have, till you become the person you want to be.

It takes time to achieve your goals! That’s why the way you spend it is crucial and will make or break your success.

You cannot expect to squander your time on social media or entertaining activities and hope that the wonderful shape, bank account, lifestyle, relationship, etc, you dream about materialize themselves as if by magic.

You must be honest with yourself and not fool yourself!

So, If you are not satisfied with where you are, with what you do, with who you are, make a covenant with yourself.

BURN THE SHIPS! Commit to the journey you embark on and keep moving forward regardless of how challenging the path is.

Remember: you only get out what you put into it.

Time is your most precious asset, so don’t waste it, use it wisely, so that you can make your dreams come true.

“It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested. But when it is wasted in heedless luxury and spent on no good activity, we are forced at last by death’s final constraint to realize that it has passed away before we knew it was passing. So it is: we are not given a short life but we make it short, and we are not ill-supplied but wasteful of it… Life is long if you know how to use it”. - Seneca, On the Shortness of Life

The point is – seize every day, make the most out of it!

You never know how many days you still have.

You may argue:

Ok fair enough, it would be amazing to make the most out of each day!

But, how can I enjoy my time and life when I am stuck in the hamster wheel of life, going to work day after day, with no way out?

How can I take back control of my time and life and answer only to myself?

Most of us work in a 9 to 5 job, and at the end of the day, we don’t have as much time as we’d like.

Writer Annie Dillard famously said:

“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”

For many of us, a large portion of our days is spent at work.

In fact, according to research, the average person spends 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime.

It’s safe to say our job makes a big impact on our lives, above all when we don’t feel passionate about it.

Did you know that 85% of people worldwide hate their job?

What about you, do you truly love what you do?

How many hours of your day do you devote to your job?

How does the idea of working till your retirement age make you feel?

Have you realized the value of your time?

As far as I am concerned, I realized it in June 2020 when I was working up to 65 hours a week.

Life was all around my job, I didn’t have time left to do what made me feel happy.

Then Covid broke out and I found myself having an awful lot of time left to do what I like doing and to spend with the people I love.

I had so much time for myself that I started questioning what society makes us consider true.

That is that we need to work in a job for 40 or even more years to get a pension that eventually enables us to enjoy our time.

We accept it as the norm.

What nonsense!

I could not cope with the idea of working in a job till old age before finally having time to enjoy my life.

So, I started investing in myself and used my time to learn digital skills to build an online business around something I could be passionate about.

I remember wondering:

“Why should I serve a business until retirement when I can learn to create an online business that serves me for years to come and become financially independent”?

You may wonder: why an online business?

Because with an online business the world is your market.

It’s undeniable that more than ever before people tap their credit cards and buy goods, services, information, and training on the net all day long.

So, if they’re doing it, why should you not be one of their sellers?

When you have a business that sells products, or services online you are not tied to time and space.

You can earn even when you sleep 24/7/365.

And you can work from anywhere in the world, provided you have an internet connection.

When you set up an online business and learn how to automate it, you can leverage the power of the net and technology.

As a result, you stop trading your time for money as you do in your 9 to 5 job.

Thus, you can set about spending your 86,400 seconds each day living life to the fullest, doing what your heart desires.

You stop building someone else’s dreams and you start working on yours.

If you are anything like me, you may think you must be tech-savvy to start an online business, that you need your own product or service.

Or even that you have to quit your current job to start your own business.

What I found is that it’s never been easier to get set up online as it is today.

Especially with the help of a proven step-by-step online business system and a community of digital entrepreneurs willing to guide you along the way.

This has been a game-changer in my personal journey online.

Having someone who had already achieved the result I was looking for is helping me to speed up the process.

And guess what, I was neither tech-savvy, nor did I have my product or service, nor did I quit my 9 to 5 job.

I started building my online business around my full-time job and I chose a business model called AFFILIATE MARKETING.

If you have not done it yet, don’t miss my article.

In it, I explain why affiliate marketing is the ultimate business model to get started online.

Now, you might think you don’t need a community of like-minded people to support you during your own journey online.

And that’s true!

After all, we live in an era where we can access all the information we want, we have everything at our fingertips.

So you don’t need to join an online community or digital education system - that shows you a step-by-step process - as I did, to build your own online business.

You can learn how to set up an online business and make it stand out from the crowd by yourself!

But, why should you overcomplicate your life and risk quitting your dreams when you can leverage the experience of a community of digital entrepreneurs who have already made it happen?

I am speaking about average people like you and me, who are living their dream life.

They are working on the net from everywhere in the world while doing something they are passionate about.

Having said that, starting an online business is not for everyone.

And you may have considered other ways to take control of your time and live life on your own terms.

If that’s the case, go for it. Take action, don’t put it off. Don’t waste your 86,400 seconds.

But if it’s not, and you don’t know where to start from, I am more than happy to show you the steps I’ve taken so far.

I have not replaced my full-time income yet, but I am paving my way to get there.

I believe it takes time and hard work to achieve goals.

So, if you are looking for shortcuts, I am not the right fit for you.

On the other hand, if you are willing to put in the time and effort to build a new lifestyle without waiting till you retire to finally have more time for yourself and the people you love, I am here to support you.

If what I’ve shared makes sense to you, make me one promise, take action, don’t waste another second of the 86,400 you are gifted with.

Start building your own dreams instead of your boss’s.

  1. What a good article. Really highlights a number of areas. Reminds me of a quote by Jeff Bezos;
“You don’t regret the times you put yourself out there or the mistakes you make along the way or the times you look silly. You regret the times you wasted by holding back or taking the most comfortable decisions”
